Applies to:

LoadRunner Enterprise [LRE] (All Versions)

Issue:

After upgrading to LoadRunner Enterprise, users may notice that only a partial number of licenses are visible in the Admin Console. For example, instead of seeing the full license count (e.g., 550), only a smaller subset (e.g., 50) is displayed and available for use.

Cause:

This issue typically arises because the existing license entitlements are not re-linked or re-imported following the upgrade process. Although users have access to the Software Licenses and Downloads (SLD) portal where the full license entitlement files are stored, these license files must be manually re-applied after the upgrade to properly reflect the full and correct license count in the system.

Steps:

  1. Log in to the Software Licenses and Downloads (SLD) portal. Access the portal using your credentials.
  2. Search for your organization’s account. Click on “Search Account” and select your organization’s account from the list.
  3. Manage your entitlements. Navigate to “Manage Entitlements” within the account dashboard.
  4. Locate and update your licenses. Find the relevant licenses for LoadRunner Enterprise and click on the “Product Name” or the “Update” action associated with them.
  5. Access entitlement details and update licenses. Scroll down to the “View Entitlement Details” section, then click the “Update” button located there.
  6. Upgrade your licenses to version. In the “Activation Update” section, follow the prompts to upgrade your licenses to match LoadRunner Enterprise.

Please Note:

  1. License updates are not automatic after upgrading.
  2. You must manually update them in the SLD portal and select version.
  3. Ensure you have admin permissions to update licenses.
  4. Allow a few minutes for the changes to appear in the Admin Console.

Conclusion:

By re-importing the entitlements via the SLD portal, the missing licenses should reappear in the Admin Console and restore full LoadRunner Enterprise functionality.
