IE Protected Mode Error

Applies to:

QC 11+


We are testing QC 11 with a new client running Windows7 & IE11.

The client is running on a virtual machine.

"The error message we are getting is "Internet Explorer is configured to run in Protected Mode. Deployment is aborted. Contact your system administrator. See the Loader log file"


In IE, go to Tools/Internet options, Security tab - uncheck "Enable Protected Mode.   Save or apply. 

Close browser and reopen and try to run client again.
